The BT TV service BT Vision combines Freeview channels with a digital receiver and video recorder called the Vision+ box, which streams on-demand TV through your broadband, to give an enormous range of live and on-demand programmes. The TV and broadband market has been heading towards a convergence for some time and the BT TV service is a great example of this, combining as it does video on demand and TV over a broadband connection with regular Freeview broadcasts. As well as providing the extra content the Vision + box enables you to pause and rewind live Freeview channels, using the built in hard drive to temporarily store the programme and allowing the user to resume viewing from the paused moment without missing anything. You’ll find a 2 week programme guide along with an on-screen guide that enables you to choose from the content on demand.
