Hi, I think you're referring to the Sky price freeze which is coming in with their new package choices. You can't actally freeze your contract - as in stop paying for it and using it for a year - but they are guaranteeing your price will not rise. The new package choices are Variety Pack with Style and Culture or all 6 current TV packs.

Not sure about the card in your caravan - maybe another reader will know?

I heard on the radio that it is possible to freeze your sky package and payment for a year? Is this correct?

Could you also advise if a portable digital satellite dish is bought would this work if I use my existing card? The reason I ask is that I have a static caravan and would like to continue to watch sky programmes when away from home.

I wouldn't bother with any setup frankly. They're all expensive in the long run and no doubt Sky will move the footy to Sky Sports 3 or 4 or whatever, thereby rendering your equipment useless. Take my advice - it's cheaper and more fun in the pub!!

Hi Gary,
If you wanted just ESPN for £9.99 a month you could get a CAM (continuous access module) from Top Up TV - click here for details - but when it comes to their Sky Sports deals you need a Top Up TV box.

As far as we're aware there's no way to get the Sky Sports and ESPN channels free. The fact that they are showing as available on your TV tells you that if you wanted to get them via BT Vision or Top Up TV you can, but they need to be paid for - sorry!

I got an LG tv with freeview HD built in and it has the sky sports channels on there. Is it possible to activate these channels without buying a top up tv box.

Brilliant episode! Didn't leave on a cliffhanger like most of the other seasons, but still.. Here's to hoping for an 8th season.

Real shame about Albert at the end (not wanting to give anything away), they could've made it a bit happier.
