Sky Entertainment Extra
Sky Entertainment Extra is one of the two TV packages available from Sky – since 1st September 2011 new Sky TV customers have had the choice of Entertainment or Entertainment Extra to form the basis of the TV service and then add on Sky Sports, Sky Movies or other extras. Sky Entertainment Extra is the equivalent of taking all 6 Sky Entertainment Packs – Variety, Style and Culture, News and Events, Knowledge, Children’s and Music – and so includes all of the channels in those packs, full details below. Entertainment is made up of the channels from the Variety Pack combined with the Style and Culture Pack.
Sky Entertainment Extra can be taken either on its own or with Sky Talk and line rental or as a triple bundle with Sky Talk, line rental and Broadband together. If you opt for the TV only package you then have a choice of Sky+ or Sky+HD – if you have an HD TV you can get the best selection of HD channels in the UK (over 50 channels) by adding the HD Pack for an extra £10.25 a month. Whether you take HD or stick with Sky+ you still have the ability to pause, rewind and record programmes using the Sky+ box.

If you decide to take Entertainment Extra as part of a triple bundle (usually the best value way) you can choose between Sky Talk Freetime with included evening and weekend calls and Sky Talk Anytime with included anytime calls (you need to pay Sky line rental with both of these). Then for broadband you have a choice of Broadband Everyday Lite and Broadband Unlimited - the former with a 20GB usage limit and the latter unlimited use. The benefit of Broadband Unlimited when it comes to a TV package is that Sky Anytime+, giving you access to Sky's huge library of on-demand TV and film, counts towards your broadband allowance, so the unlimited usage option is definitely recommended.
