Details of the Sky+ HD with Sky Sports + ESPN package

The Sky Sports with ESPN pack consists of -

  • >> Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and 4
  • >> Sky Sports News
  • >> ESPN
  • >> ESPN America

All of these channels are available in HD with this package as it includes the HD pack - Sky is the only provider to offer all 5 Sky Sports channels in HD, the nearest rival is Sky Sports on Virgin Media which has 1, 2, 3 and 4 but only 1 and 2 in HD.

You get all manner of great sports coverage on Sky Sports, from football, rugby, cricket and golf to the smaller events like speedway, wrestling and ice hockey - if you're a sports fan you'll never be bored. ESPN features live Barclays Premier League, FA Cup and international football, plus Aviva Premiership Rugby and Top 14. ESPN also has the biggest UFC bouts and MMA Live. This package also includes ESPN America which shows a wide range of premium US sports including baseball, basketball and ice hockey.

The TV element of this package consists of the Sky+HD Box, the HD Pack and the Sky Entertainment Pack. First to the box, this enables you to pause and rewind live TV and to record and store content in the hard drive. The Entertainment Pack gives you 41 channels (plus lots of free to air channels too) covering some of the most popular entertainment in the UK - more about Sky TV packages here. The Sky+HD starter package includes one of these but you can add more as you wish for an extra monthly fee. Similarly Sky Movies can be added to your package as a premium pack at any time.

The HD Pack is the £10.25 a month add-on which enables you to watch any of the channels in your chosen package in HD if there is an HD version. So for example if the Sky Arts 1 channel is included in the pack you choose you will also be able to watch Sky Arts 1 HD. Sky has the best choice of HD channels by quite a long way - you need an HD ready TV to be able to watch HD TV.

Sky Broadband Everyday Lite has download speeds of up to 20MB and upload speeds of up to 1.3MB. It has a monthly usage cap of 2GB, which is enough for checking your emails and browsing the web. The package also comes with 24/7 technical support, free Sky wireless router worth £50 and a 3 month free trial of McAfee Internet Security.

Sky Talk Freetime comes with included evening and weekend calls to UK landlines. Sky line rental must be taken with Sky Talk.
