Continuing our look at the channels currently available in each of the Sky Entertainment Packs, today we’re looking at what you get in the Music Pack. In case you’re new to Sky, when you subscribe to Sky TV you can pick one of the 6 packs as a basic package (for example if you take the Sky+ Starter package at £19.50 a month that will include one Entertainment Pack). You can then add more for £1 a month each or take all 6 for £24 a month.

MTV Music The main MTV channel, with the latest hits, official charts, live performances and top presenters like Lily Allen, whose Top 20 Best of British starts this Saturday
MTV Base Concetrating on Hip Hop, R&B and UK Garage – new videos, exclusive interviews and the Official Urban (Top 20) Chart show
MTV Hits Does what it says on the tin really – hit after hit, broadcasting 24 hours a day
MTV Dance All the dance music you could ever want with shows like MTV Club Classix, Weekend Anthems and AM Rush, as well as the Official Dance Chart
MTV Rocks All the best indie, rock and alternative music on the channel formerly known as MTV Two. Shows include Gonzo, presented by Alexa Chung, Biggest, Hottest, Loudest and The Official UK Rock Chart
MTV Classic Oldies, which in the MTV scheme of things means 80s and beyond
VH1 Originally Video Hits One, the channel known for series like Behind the Music and I Love the…(insert decade here) is the main competitor to MTV
MTVNHD General mix of the various MTV channels in glorious HD
The Box Known for its First Play feature, where many videos are premiered, also features Hot Rotation and the UK Airplay: Top 40
4Music Another mix of music news, video exclusives and competitions plus live performances, documentaries and festival coverage. Also has a chart show – Hit40UK
Kiss Originally set up by the founders of Kiss 100, the long running urban radio station, expect the same cutting edge but commercial dance, garage and urban sounds
Smash Hits! Pop, pop, pop all the way – shows like Chartbusters and Pop Domination, owned by Box Television
Magic Evergreen oldies mixed with the easy listening side of new releases – if you’ve heard Magic on the radio you know the kind of thing
Q Every video played is chosen by the viewers, from classic pop and rock to RnB and rap
Kerrang! The home of rock – heavy metal and rock rules on Kerrang – play it loud!
