Deals for Existing Sky Customers

Sky TV

If it sometimes seems like all the good offers in the world are for “brand new customers only” take heart, as there are some great deals on upgrades for existing customers too if you know where to find them.

Here are the current Sky TV deals for existing customers, whether you’ve got the new TV and you want to go HD or you’re thinking of adding Sky Movies or Sky Sports. With the football season about to start and the news last month on the Sky Formula 1 deal it’s a good time to be looking at Sky Sports and ESPN.

Sky Upgrades

Upgrade to HD

Existing Sky customers can upgrade to the HD pack for an extra £10.25 a month and get a Free Sky+ HD Box and free set-up – this deal is available online until 31st August 2011. You need an HD TV of course to be able to watch high definition programmes but as you can get a 26″ HD TV for around £200 nearly all new TVs purchased now will be HD ready. Sky is still the leader in HD programming with over 50 HD versions of popular channels. Sport and Movies (see below) benefit especially from HD quality, as do the nature and science programmes on Discovery and other channels in the Knowledge Pack.

Add Sky Sports and Movies

Get the Sky Sports Pack

Under this offer existing customers get a £10 credit on the bill if they add the Sky Sports Pack and the Sky Movies Pack – you can also get a £5 credit if you only want to add one of them. The Sky Sports Pack, which gives you all of the Sky Sports channels – 1, 2, 3, 4 and Sky Sports News in standard and HD – costs an extra £20.25 a month. As you may have seen advertised recently Sky is the only provider to give you all 5 Sky Sports channels in HD, as although they are all available in SD on Virgin Media there is no Sky Sports 3 or 4 in HD from that provider. The Sky Movies Pack, which gives you the complete selection of Sky Movies channels from Premiere to Indie, costs £16 a month.

Any customer who either already has the Sky Sports Pack or upgrades by adding it can get ESPN at no extra cost for the first 3 months. After the initial 3 month offer period ESPN costs £9 a month as long as you keep Sky Sports, or £12 a month without. This offer ends 30th September 2011.
