Did you know if you have a 3G phone you can get Sky Sports and other Sky TV content on your mobile for £6 a month? You don’t need to be a Sky customer but you need to be on Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile or 3 (in other words, not on O2) to get it. Availability of channels varies slightly depending on your network. The sports content is exactly the same as you get on Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, 4 and ESPN with the exception of HBO boxing and Major League Baseball, which are not shown on Mobile TV.
Sky on Vodafone
Vodafone offer 2 Sky packages to 3G customers – the Sky News and Sports Pack gives you live Premier League action and news for £6 a month or the Sky entertainment pack has MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central for £5 a month. There is a third, non-Sky pack called the Variety pack which has selected content from Channel 4, ITV 1 and Five for £3 a month or you can take all 3 packs for £10 a month, with the first month free. Details on the Vodafone site here.
Sky on Orange
Orange also offer the Sky News and Sports Pack for £6 a month, and used to offer the Variety pack but that’s no longer available. If you are an Orange customer, visit Orange World on your phone and click on the TV and Video link on the homepage.
Sky on T-Mobile
You can get Sky Mobile TV on T-Mobile either via Web n Walk or the T-Zones. If your phone is compatible you’ll be able to see a tab for Tv and Video at the top of the T-Zones page.
Sky on 3
If you are a 3 customer you can get the News & Sports pack, which is available for £6 a month subscription or £2 a week. You need to go to the Mobile TV Sports or Entertainment Services links on Planet 3, click on Sky Mobile TV and you’ll be taken to the sign-up page. As TV uses up a lot of data allowance on the streaming 3 strongly recommend you buy the Internet Max Add-on before subscribing.
All the info you need is on the Sky Mobile TV page here.
