Virgin TV comes in bundles with broadband and landline phone and this is normally the best way to get a good deal, however there are special offers coming and going all the time – you can find the latest Virgin TV deals here.

What kind of deals do Virgin offer?

• First 2 months free when you take broadband, TV and phone (ended 11th May 2010)
• Free installation with triple bundles - normally £40
• The V+ HD box for just £49 instead of the usual £99
• Deals on Virgin Mobile – like the SIM only deal giving 200 minutes and unlimited texts for just £10 a month

For example if you take the minimum triple bundle of Size L broadband, Size M+ TV and Size M phone the subscription is £30.99 a month (including the £11.99 a month Virgin phone line rental) with installation free.

Virgin V+

V+ is Virgin’s equivalent to Sky+ - it’s a higher spec set top box which acts as a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) using a built-in hard drive to record up to 80 hours of TV programmes and enables you to pause and rewind live TV by temporarily storing the programme in the drive. It also features 3 separate tuners which means you can record 2 programmes while watching a third – the only provider to offer this.
Recording is easy with V+ as you use the on-screen guide to select the programme you want and press ‘record’. You can also opt to record the whole series so you don’t have to set it every week.
A V+ Box varies in cost according to the package you have – at the moment it costs £49 instead of the normal £99 on all packages except for VIP plus a monthly fee of £5 if you have either the ‘M’ or ‘L’ TV package.
